Fora-Bank sees arrival of new shareholders

According to the Bank of Russia, changes in Fora-Bank’s shareholding structure were registered on March 23, 2010. As the latter said on its web site, 25.45% of its securities were redistributed among new shareholders: Alcotech Trading House (11.74%), Building Service (9.49%), SPK Trading House (7.88%) and Nikolai Mironov (2.93%).

The lending institution’s charter capital remained unchanged (Rub 969.63 mln) and holdings of the previous owners were reduced. KPF Damos now owns 18.57% (earlier 19.99%), Vaspurak Pogosyan holds 12.55% (17.71%), Varuzhan Artenyan’s interest is 11.05% (13.41%), Geba 77’s stake equals 6.53% (11.12%), Chance-1’s block of shares is equal to 5.89% (10.03%), Alexander Badimov is an owner of 5.85% of the bank (9.96%) and Alexander Sinelnikov’s holding is 5.21% (8.88%).

Fora-Bank is part of Tashir Group that was established by Samvel Karapetyan in 1999. At present the group unites over 200 businesses operating in various sectors of the economy and employing over 30,000 staff. The group’s core area is commercial real estate development and management.

Based on Banki.ru data, as of April 1, 2010 the lender’s assets stood at Rub 17.5 bln (136th place in Russia), capital (calculated in line with CBR requirements) totaled Rub 1.5 bln, including the Rub 200 mln subordinated loan, the credit portfolio amounted to Rub 10.8 bln and obligations to households equaled Rub 9.9 bln.
