RAMBLER NEWS SERVICE. Otkritie FC Bank is exploring the possibility of taking over assets held by Rosgosstrakh Bank, Otkritie FC Bank management board chairman Ruben Aganbegian told journalists.
"We'll think this over strategically, and will make an announcement," said Aganbegian when asked accordingly.
Otkritie Group and Rosgosstrakh Group agreed to merge, RNS sources said in December. The parties plan to carry out all legal procedures as part of the deal in 2017, and the effect from the merger will be felt as early as 2018.
Upon the merger the merged group's primary assets, Otkritie FC Bank's banking business, insurer Rosgosstrakh and Rosgosstrakh Bank) will be controlled by Otkritie Holding.
