The mortgage credit portfolio of the CIT FINANCE investment bank (St. Petersburg) has risen 25 times since 2006’s start to reach R5.0 billion as of the beginning of September. Under the mortgage program, the bank has issued 2,600 credits worth a total of R3.1b. The number of credits issued rose more than 30 times over that time. Credits in regions account for 50% of the entire portfolio.
