The supervisory board at Raiffeisen Group has approved the candidature of Sergey Monin who oversees the treasury division to the position of a management board chairman, Raiffeisen Group CEO Herbert Stepic told reporters on Friday.
“Pavel Gurin died unexpectedly three weeks ago. During his illness Sergey Monin was also responsible for investment banking operations. Monin is a very experienced and successful executive and I recommended him to the post of the management board chairman," he noted.
Raiffeisenbank specified that Sergey Monin will finally take this seat only after the Bank of Russia’s approval.
At the same time, Sergey Monin himself noted that the bank will appoint a new head of treasury within a week.
