The highest interest rate on ruble deposit accounts at ten Russian lending institutions, which draw most retail deposits, came in at 9.48% in May 21—30, falling 0.03% from 9.51% during the previous ten days. These numbers were disclosed by the Bank of Russias PR department.
As CBRs report showed, the highest interest rate offered by Top 10 banks is presently at the lowest level since November 1—10 2012 (9.46%).
Russias Top 10 banks, interest rates of which are counted while calculating the indicator, are Sberbank, VTB 24, the Bank of Moscow, Raiffeisenbank, Gazprombank, Bank Russian Standard, Alfa-Bank, Home Credit Bank, Promsvyazbank and Rosselkhozbank. The rates are monitored on the basis of information posted on banks websites.
