Consumer prices in Russia grew 0.1% from May 6 till May 12, the Federal Statistics Service reported on Thursday. The inflation rate has run at this pace for a third straight week.
As the statistical authority's data show, since the beginning of May prices have grown 0.2% and 8.1% YTD. Last May Russia's inflation rate equaled 0.9%.
Last week the Federal Statistics Service reported that this April consumer prices in the country grew 0.5%, while annual inflation slowed down from 16.9% in March to 16.4%.
As forecast by the Ministry for Economic Development, this year prices would grow 11.9%, but Minister for Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev admitted that inflation could also turn out to be "slightly slower".
