As of April 8, 2016 narrow money in the Russian Federation totaled Rub 8,389.6 bln. The Bank of Russia released these numbers on Friday.
As of April 1, 2016 the metric stood at Rub 8,257.6 bln, i.e. a weekly rise of Rub 132 bln.
Weekly numbers are given in CBR's consolidated data as of the end of the balance sheet date.
Narrow money includes cash put by the Bank of Russia into circulation (given cash balances held at lending institutions) and balances held on CBR's accounts for required reserves against funds that lending institutions borrow in the national currency.
In 2015, Russia's narrow money fell 4.3% to Rub 8,745.9 bln.
