As of February 26, 2007, Russias monetary base stood at R3.0737 trillion, the Central Bank of Russia has reported. The monetary base has increased by R22.5 billion over the week. As of February 19, the monetary base was at R3.0512 trln. The Russian monetary base (narrow definition) consists of the currency issued by the Central Bank of Russia, including cash in vaults of credit institutions, and required reserves balances on rouble deposits with the CBR.
