The Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan is open to accept other countries and is prepared for closer cooperation with the European Union, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin confirmed. “I am confident that the new powerful integration union could dramatically change the geopolitical configuration of the entire Eurasian space, create incentives for unification in the CIS," he said at the Cabinets meeting.
According to him, the Customs Union and the Unified Economic Space are “not a one-class club”. “We are open also for other countries to join us. We are also prepared for closer cooperation with the European Union, including in the format of a constructive dialog of the Unified Economic Space and the EU," the prime minister pointed out.
