RIA NOVOSTI. In April 2011 the amount of foreign national debt of the Russian Federation dropped 0.01% and equaled $38.833 bln as of May 1 against $38.837 bln as of April 1, the Finance Ministry of Russia reported on its web site on Thursday.
In terms of the single European currency Russias foreign national debt stood at €26.17 bln as of May 1 against €27.58 bln as of April 1, down 5.1% on the month.
The primary debt item is Eurobonds, liabilities under which came to $29.82 bln as of May 1. Russia owes $2.93 bln to international financial institutions, $682.1 mln to Paris Club creditors and $1.60 bln to other official creditors.
Liabilities to creditors from former member states of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance equal $1.13 bln, while unregulated debt of the former Soviet Union totals $57.5 mln.
Russias liabilities under domestic currency loan bonds came to $1.77 bln as of May 1 and $817.9 mln under Russias currency guarantees.
