PRIME-TASS. The amount of housing loans issued by Russian banks in rubles totaled Rub 167.6 bln in January-April and Rub 111.7 bln in January-March, the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) said in a report, as Prime-TASS wires.
Currency housing loans extended by banks in January-April equaled Rub 5.5 bln in ruble equivalent.
During this period the amount of ruble mortgage loans came to Rub 150.6 bln and Rub 4.3 bln of currency loans.

As of May 1, 2011 non-performing housing loans provided by lending institutions to households amounted to Rub 46.6 bln (3.5% of the total amount of housing loans due), including Rub 41.2 bln under housing mortgage loans (3.5% of the total mortgage loans due).
