At an annual meeting on June 26, 2007, Russia’s GAZPROMBANK shareholders approved the decision to re-register the closed joint-stock company (ZAO) as open joint-stock company (OAO). The bank’s name has officially been registered as GAZPROMBANK (Open Joint Stock Company), and its short name was put as GPB (OJSC). Changes in the form of ownership are expected to enhance the liquidity of GAZPROMBANK shares and enable shareholders to estimate the real price of their investments and consider their securities as listed market instruments for financing transactions.
