The insurance market expanded in 2016, CBR deputy board chairman Vladimir Chistyukhin told journalists at the 9th Urals Information Security Forum.
"Preliminary assessment shows that insurers did quite well in 2016. We see growth in virtually all segments, and it was substantial in some of them, life insurance continues to expand rapidly," Chistyukhin said.
He emphasized that the standing of insurance firms is stable, including because the regulator acted aggressively to oust unfair companies from the market.
