Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexey Vedev has been relieved of his post. The relevant executive order, which was signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, was posted on the official portal of legal information.
"To dismiss Alexey Leonidovich Vedev from the position of a deputy minister of economic development of the Russian Federation, according to his request," runs the document.
Izvestia wrote last week that Vedev who was acting minister after Alexey Ulyukaev's dismissal for eighteen months tendered in his resignation. At the MED, Vedev was in charge of budget planning and state programs. He was responsible for macroeconomic forecasts and statistical data.
