Sberbank Sets Limits on Cards

Sberbank said it would limit the withdrawal of cash on MasterCard, Visa and Sbercard payment cards as of November 1. The limit on MasterCard Gold and Visa Gold cards is set at R10 million monthly, and on withdrawals via ATMs at R300,000 daily. On the Classic and Electron international cards, the restriction is set at R5.0m monthly, and at R150,000 daily via ATMs. The limit on Sbercard cards is fixed at R150,000 a day should money be withdrawn via an ATM and at R300,000 daily for cash withdrawals via Sberbank’s branches and divisions. The owners of Sberbank cards may withdraw cash in excess of the daily limit for additional pay, set at 0.5% of the amount on top of the daily limit. (Kommersant)
