MOSCOW, August 21 /PRRussia/ — Promsvyazbank has announced that it opened the first ATM with a foreign currency exchange function. The NCR 6676 ATM is installed in St. Petersburg on the premises of the Hermitage. The ATM enables users to exchange U.S. dollars and euros into Russian roubles.
Along with the currency exchange, the ATM also performs the following functions: cash withdrawal, the issuance of mini statements, card balances, and handset bill payments. In addition, the ATM may also accept cash, but the cash-in function has not been activated yet. In the future, Promsvyazbank plans to install ATMs capable of currency exchange in its branches, hotels, retail chains and other public places.
