RIA NOVOSTI. The Federal Statistics Service has confirmed its 2.9% preliminary estimate for GDP growth in January-March 2010 that was announced back in May. This number was disclosed in the statistical authoritys documents.
Russias Q1 GDP totaled Rub 9.86 tln against Rub 8.39 tln in January-March 2009 and Rub 10.87 tln in October-December 2009. “In current prices Russias gross domestic product in January-March 2010 came to Rub 9.86 tln. The adjusted index of its physical quantity vs. January-March 2009 equaled 102.9% and 83.7% compared to October-December 2009," the authority said in a press release.
Compared to prices in January-March 2009 the GDP deflator in the first quarter of 2010 stood at 114.2%.
