Sberbank of Russia has announced the acquisition of a 75%-1 share stake in Strategy Partners. As the lender said in a press release, it struck the deal in a bid to establish a leading strategic consultant on the basis of Strategy Partners.
Sberbank of Russia was de jure registered in 1991 on the basis of Sberbank of the USSR. Its primary shareholder is the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (57.60% of the shares, including 60.25% of common shares). The lenders minority shareholders are over 273,000 legal entities and individuals, including foreign investors (around 24% of the shares).
