In October 2006, GAZPROMBANK retained leadership in dollar trading volume at a single trading session of interbank currency exchanges. So said sources at the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX), which acted as trading administrator. METALLINVESTBANK came in second, moving upward from its fifth place in September. SUDOSTROITELNY BANK’s third position remained unchanged. Among other leading operators trading dollars in October were SBERBANK, the SOYUZ bank, PROMSVYAZBANK, DEUTSCHE BANK, INTERNATIONAL MOSCOW BANK, RAIFFEISENBANK AUSTRIA and ABN AMRO.
