RIA NOVOSTI. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said he intends to devote the closest attention to the unemployment issue in the near future. “In the near future I intend to pay much attention to unemployment despite the fact that joblessness has substantially declined in recent months," Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday during a working meeting with Governor of the Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev.
The President pointed out that in recent months unemployment in the country virtually reached the pre-crisis level, but this issue still remains one of the hardest topics in the Russian economy and community.
As the Tyumen region governor said, currently the regional unemployment rate is 0.7% of the economically active population. Yakushev also told the President about employment programs that were executed in the region.
