On Friday night Sberbank of Russia issued an official press release saying that some media reports about the alleged acquisition by Sberbank of investment company Troika Dialog do not correspond to reality.
“The only source of information about transactions of this kind is official information of Sberbank of Russia. Sberbank of Russia remains committed to information openness and transparency principles and consistently pursues them in its activities. Sberbank promptly and regularly notifies the media, business circles and the general public about all the banks material events," the lending institution said.
Sberbank of Russia was registered in 1991 on the basis of Sberbank of the USSR. Its primary shareholder is the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (57.60% of the shares, including 60.25% of common shares). The lenders minority shareholders are over 263,000 legal entities and individuals, including foreign investors (around 24% of the shares).
