RIA NOVOSTI. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said that he has appointed Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov who previously acted as the acting finance minister.
Siluanov became the acting finance minister after the President dismissed in September Alexey Kudrin who headed the Finance Ministry for over a decade. Prior to this Siluanov was a deputy minister.
“Ive penned a decree appointing you Finance Minister of the Russian Federation," Medvedev said at a meeting with Siluanov on Friday.
