At Bank Zenit's extraordinary shareholders meeting Tatneft general director Nail Maganov has been appointed to chair the bank's board of directors, the lender said in a press release.
As the media reported, the bank's board chairman Alexei Sokolov, who had chaired its board since 2005, unexpectedly died in early May.
Nail Maganov was borne in 1958. He graduated from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. He has been with Tatneft, which participated in the bank's establishment in 1994, since 1976, and was appointed its CEO in November 2013. He has been a board member at Bank Zenit since 2001.
