Federal Customs Service: 4M10 foreign trade turnover leaps to $182.1 bln

PRIME-TASS. As Federal Customs Service data show, Russia’s foreign trade turnover totaled $182.1 bln in January-April 2010 (including trade fr om Belarus), soaring 46.4% against the same period a year ago. Trade turnover with non-FSU countries came to $156.3 bln, a 47.1% upsurge, whereas trade volumes with the FSU climbed 42.5% to $25.8 bln, the Federal Customs Service said in a statement on Monday.

A trade surplus totaled $65.1 bln or $34 bln more than a year earlier. In addition, a surplus in trade with the non-FSU countries totaled $57.1 bln (up $32.6 bln), and came to $8 bln (an increase of $1.4 bln).

In January-April 2010 Russia’s exports totaled $123.6 bln, leaping 59% y-o-y. Export flows to non-FSU countries came to $106.7 bln (a 63.1% upsurge), whereas exports to the FSU climbed 36.9% to $16.9 bln.

Imports from the Russian Federation in January-April 2010 reached $58.8 bln, growing 25.5% on the year-earlier period. Imports from non-FSU countries equaled $49.6 bln (an increase of 21.4%), and $8.9 bln from the FSU (up 54.7%).
