RIA NOVOSTI. Registered unemployment continues to go down in Russia: during two weeks the official unemployment rate fell 2.8% to 1.40 mln people, the press service of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development reported on Monday.
“From June 15 till June 29 the number of the unemployed registered at employment bodies fell 2.8% or 41,934 and totaled 1,445,641 as of June 29," the ministry said in a press release.
During the reporting period the number of the unemployed declined in 80 regions of Russia. Most of all, unemployment declined in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District.
An increase of the unemployed registered with employment authorities was recorded in 3 regions, including the Amur region, and the republics of Mordovia and Kalmykia.
