The Central Bank of Russia’s board of directors has approved the decision to refund deposits to clients of the NEP BANK and ALMAZZOLOTO BANK, which were declared bankrupt. Payments to 435 depositors will total R32.96 million and begin on July 17, 2006. NEP BANK depositors are to receive their money via IMPEXBANK by October 17, 2006. Payments to ALMAZZOLOTO BANK depositors are scheduled until September 18, 2006. The CBR board has also approved the decision to allocate additional funds to pay R6.73m to 141 depositors of the GRANIT bank, the POSHEKHONSKY bank and SODBUSINESSBANK.
