Internet banking services are gaining popularity in Russia. Bankers say the client base grows by 40% annually on average. Three top market players, ALFA BANK, RAIFFEISENBANK AUSTRIA and CITIBANK, have more than 300,000 users of Internet services. Experts estimated the number of on-line banking service users at 155,000 in 2005. Market experts say Internet banking has a huge potential. The Russian Internet audience amounts to 21 million users and, according to surveys, one out of every three Internet users is ready to manage his/her banking account over Internet.
