SOCIETE GENERALE VOSTOK (BSGV)’s St. Petersburg branch is to open four branches in Northwestern Federal District and at least 15 units in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region by late 2010. The St. Petersburg BSGV branch has been operating for three years. Over the period, the bank drew more than 21,000 private and 420 major corporate clients and opened seven supplementary offices. As of September 1, 2007, its overall credit portfolio stood at R7.5 billion, while an aggregate profit exceeded R284m. The branch issued 14,000 VISA cards and installed 68 ATMs.
