Since the start of 2007, defence-related enterprises have received credits from the BANK OF MOSCOW to a value exceeding $400 million, the banks press service reported. Specifically this September, URALVAGONZAVOD received a $100m loan, Kazan Helicopter Plant — $20m, Ural Optical-Mechanical Plant — $30m. According to Andrei Shalabayev, general director of the department of corporate and investment business of the BANK OF MOSCOW, the bank «continues to increase lending to clients," despite the uneasy situation in the financial market. From January 2007, lending to nuclear energy sector (TECHSNABEXPORT, TVEL, ATOMSTROIEXPORT) has risen by $250m.
