MOSCOW, May 25 /PRRussia/ — In
IMB began to develop the program at the end of 2001. Annually, IMB more than doubled sales: auto loans totalled $11.9m in 2002, $47.9m in 2003, $101.4m in 2004, and $225.7m in 2005. In 2006, sales of auto loans may reach $350—400m. The number of auto loans is also steadily rising. Whereas in 2002, IMB sold 55 loans a month on average, by May 2006 their number rose to 2,100. As of the end of 2005, IMB occupied around 5.0% of the auto loan market in Russia.
Another trend is the rising share of regions in the auto loan portfolio. Whereas in 2002, those credits accounted for around 9.0%, by May 2006 that figure was 40%.
